Ty Allred scored a team-high 26 points while sophomore
Harvey White tallied 22 as the Mavericks clinched a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament home game with a 100-90 Senior Day win over rival Western Colorado University on Saturday afternoon here in Brownson Arena.
The Mavericks shot 60.3 percent (38-63) from the field and dished out 25 assists while improving to 18-8 overall and to 14-4 in the RMAC with their 11th home win in 12 tries this season.
White had nine of those assists, a career-high.

Allred, the Mavs' lone senior, was recognized in a pre-game ceremony. The Mona, Utah native now has seven 20-plus point games in his last nine and has scored 491 points this season after tallying 426 last year. He eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark on Tuesday and now has 1,040 career points.
"It's a great feeling. It's been the most enjoyable five years of my life, especially the last two in particular," Allred said.
"This is the best crowd in the RMAC. It's really fun to be able to play here every weekend," he continued about the Brownson Arena faithful.
The Mavs, who have now won 11 straight games in the rivalry, reached triple figures for the second time in nine days and are still in second place in the RMAC standings and still in control of their own destiny for at least a share of the RMAC regular season title.
CMU has won eight out of nine games overall.
Black Hills State is a game ahead of the Mavs at 15-3 in conference play and will host the Mavericks next Saturday in Spearfish, South Dakota. The Mavs will play in Rapid City against South Dakota Mines on Thursday night before that.
WCU, paced by 29 points from Aidan McDowell, the RMAC's leading scorer, fell to 8-18 overall and to 8-12 in the RMAC.
The Mavericks led Saturday's game for more than 36 minutes.
They held a 46-44 advantage before the Mountaineers hit one of their 19 3-pointers to take a 47-46 lead just a minute into the second half.
The Mavs then went on a 9-0 run to take a 55-47 lead before the Mountaineers sliced the gap to just two (65-63) with 12:29 to go.
However,
Ben Henderson scored four straight points on inside buckets before a White 3-point play helped the Mavs extend the lead back to 11 with a 9-0 run.
The Mountaineers would pull within five at 81-76 with 6:27 left but could get no closer as the Mavs scored 19 points in the final 6 ½ minutes to put the game on ice while building as much as a 14-point lead in the final minute.
The Mavericks more than doubled the Mountaineers on the boards, finishing with a big +17 (33-16) rebounding advantage.
Clayton Jewell had eight of those and finished with 14 points and six assists as well.
Henderson also had 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists while
Wes Ball came off the bench to score 12 points as one of five Mavs in double figures.
The Mavs also tallied 46 points in the paint, more than doubling the Mountaineers' total of 22.
