The Mavericks closed out their fall home schedule in dominant fashion, defeating the University of Utah 87–12 to extend their undefeated season.

The Mavericks wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, as Navaya Steele broke through the Utah defense to score her first of two trys just three minutes into the match. Addison Schreuder added the conversion before Chloe Coop showcased her speed on the outside, scoring her first of four trys just seven minutes into the contest.

Kaylee Burns was next to find the try zone, capping off a strong team effort as the Mavericks continued to apply pressure on both sides of the ball. Steele and Coop each added another try, using explosive speed and powerful runs to exploit gaps in the Utah defense. Schreuder followed with the first of her three tries, continuing to fuel the Mavericks' offensive momentum.

The Mavericks' depth was on full display as rookies Ashlyn Erb, Cici Dean and Carmen Johnson each recorded their first tries of the season. Meanwhile, veteran players set the tone with consistent tackling, effective breakdown work, strong poaching, and relentless attacking pressure. The collective effort helped the Mavericks build a commanding 60–0 lead at halftime.

Following the opening 40 minutes, both teams opted to continue play in a 10s format for an additional 30 minutes, providing valuable opportunities for the entire roster to see the pitch. Starters and finishers alike delivered quality performances, and the Mavericks' depth remained evident as the bench was cleared in the emphatic 87–12 victory.

With their fall home schedule complete, the undefeated Mavericks will enjoy a well-earned weekend off before returning to action to close out the regular season on the road against the University of Denver on Sunday, October 18.
