Pearson, who took third at last month's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships with 4,519 points, scored 2,734 in Thursday's four events after tallying 2,669 first day points at the conference meet. She is in tenth place in the 18-woman field.

Those marks bettered her former season-bests of 1.47 meters (4-9.75) and 25.18 from her first two collegiate heptathlons.
Pearson also recorded a time of 14.92 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles to open her Thursday performance and registered a shot put mark of 7.79 meters (25-6.75) in the third event of the day.
The heptathlon will continue on Friday afternoon, starting at 1 p.m. PDT (2 p.m. Mountain).
