GLENDALE, Ariz.— The Colorado Mesa University women's tennis team completed a perfect 3-0 weekend in the Valley of the Sun, knocking off the Ottawa University of Arizona by a 4-1 score on Saturday here at the Paseo Racquet Club.
The Mavericks women, who defeated both Western New Mexico and Arizona Christian on Friday, improved to 5-4 on the year as they picked up three singles wins in the bottom half of the lineup after taking both completed doubles matches.

Catalina Ballon Marin and
Jane Steur all went 2-0 on the day for CMU.
Brilhante delivered the clincher, defeating Antonia Kostoff, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4 singles after she and Steur had beaten Kostoff and Nikola Rusinova by a 6-2 margin at No. 3 doubles.
Steuer was also a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Rusinova at No. 6 singles.
Ballon Marin got past Jelizaveta Govrova, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 singles as the Mavs took a 3-0 lead.
OUAZ, which is 0-2 this spring, received their only win at No 3 singles.
The No. 1 and 2 singles matches were left unfinished, which was also the case at No. 2 doubles.
Brilhante and
Devyn Rodriguez claimed a 6-3 win in the first doubles flight.
The Mavericks will be in Kearney, Nebraska next weekend to play three matches.
