Sharrar earns CSC Academic All-America® First Team Recognition

AUSTIN, Texas – Colorado Mesa baseball senior outfielder Robert Sharrar has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® First Team as announced on Tuesday (July 2) morning.

The Newbury Park, Calif. native was a consensus First Team All-American after earning ABCA, D2CCA, and NCBWA First Team honors. He batted .406 with 22 doubles, two triples, and 21 home runs and finished amongst the nation's top-5 in RBIs, total bases, and hits. The RMAC Co-Player of the Year earned three straight RMAC Player of the Week honors from March 19 to April 2.

This is the fifth straight year that Colorado Mesa has had a baseball student-athlete represented on one of the three Academic All-America® teams. Last season, Harrison Rodgers was a First Team honoree while Caleb Thomason was a Third Team recipient.

The 2024 Academic All-American® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
