Mavs continue play at AVCA Beach Nationals

8HUNTSVILLE, Ala.— Colorado Mesa University beach volleyball players Taylor Scherff and Gracyn Spresser continued play at the AVCA Fall Collegiate Beach National Championships on Saturday here at the  John Hunt Park Sand Volleyball Complex.
 
The Maverick duo, which went 0-3 in Pool Play on Friday, dropped a 21-14, 21-12 decision to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Chloe Tome and Stephanie Young in the first round of the consolation bracket.  They then played in the 49th place bracket, falling 21-8, 21-13 to UC Davis' Colleen McGuire and Kylie Miller.
 
The Maverick pair will conclude the tournament on Sunday, playing in the 57th place bracket.
