POCATELLO, Idaho— The NCAA Division I Idaho State University Bengals defeated Division II Colorado Mesa University, 7-0 in an inter-divisional men's tennis match-up here at ISU's Reed Gym on Saturday afternoon.
The Mavericks' best effort came at No. 3 singles from redshirt sophomore
Jorge Abreu, who won the second set of his match against Hiroki Fujita before going down 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 overall.

Steven Howe also put up a strong fight but was downed, 6-3, 6-4 by the Bengals' Aleksandar Petrovic.
"Jorge had his chances in the third and it was an overall good team effort," Maverick Head Coach
Dan MacDonald said.
CMU fell to 2-4 on the season while the Bengals improved to 7-4.
The Mavericks will play another Division I foe on Sunday facing Weber State at 9:30 a.m. in Ogden, Utah. The Bengals had won a 6-1 match over the Wildcats (2-8) in Big Sky Conference action on Friday.
