Salt Lake City, UT – A quick turnaround from the weekend, Colorado Mesa men's basketball made it was west visiting the Westminster Griffins in a midweek matchup, the Mavericks coming home with the 63-52 win.
Each team finished shooting around 36%, the difference coming from beyond the arc with the Mavericks making 11, 3-point baskets throughout the night. Four different players knocked down a pair of baskets from deep.
Reece Johnson finished as the team's top scorer with 14-points, putting in work on the defensive end as well with seven rebounds and three steals.

The advantage went the way of Westminster early, the Griffins building up to a 16-point lead. Johnson and
Jared Small went on a mini scoring runs, helping to get the team cut into the deficit.
Blaise Threatt hit the team's fifth 3-pointer of the half just before the break, CMU trailing by two after the first.

From there it was Colorado Mesa's game, gaining a double-digit edge that held strong for the remainder of the game.
The win brings the Mavericks to 17-8 on the year, 11-5 in the conference. Westminster moves to 8-13, and 6-9 in the RMAC.
The Maverick men return to Brownson Arena this Saturday, taking on South Dakota Mines at 6 p.m.
