Box Score SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Colorado Mesa struggled on the two-game road swing through Utah as they fell 77-62 to Westminster on Saturday evening in Behnken Field House in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contest.
Colorado Mesa held a 40-39 lead in the second half with 15:29 to play but that was their last lead of the game. They shot 44.9 percent from the field and was 8-for-19 from the three-point line. They were outrebounded by nine that led to 13 second chance points for the Griffins.
Ethan Richardson led a trio of Mavericks in double figures with 13 points on 3-of-5 shooting from the field and a 7-for-8 performance from the free throw line.
Michael Skinner finished with 11 points while
Tommy Nuno had 10.
Georgie Dancer had a game-high eight rebounds and five assists.
Griffin Jake Connor led all scorers with 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field.
The Mavericks will continue their road swing next weekend with a pair of games in Denver against Regis and Colorado Christian.
