GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Colorado Mesa women's soccer team (4-3-0, 1-2-0) fell in overtime for the second time this season despite their second half comeback to tie the game against MSU Denver on Friday night at Walker Field. Madison Rasimas scored her first goal of the season in the 81st minute to tie the Roadrunners opening goal, which was scored early on in the 9th minute of the game.
As apart of the Mavericks second half comback Kamrie Gunderson recorded nine saves in the second half and ended the match with a career high 10 saves.
The Mavericks outlasted the Roadrunners through the first overtime period despite them taking three shots. The Mavericks did not take a shot in either overtime while the Roadrunners took a combined five throughout both overtimes. The Mavericks were outshot 23-8 and recorded three shots on goal while the Roadrunners recorded 12 shots on goal.
MSU Denver's Nayeli Baez ended the game with less than four minutes remaining to improve their record to 3-5-0 and 2-1-0 in conference play.
