PUEBLO, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa Mavericks gave up seven unearned runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and fell to the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves 15-8 on Friday evening at Rawlings Field in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup.
The Mavericks had leads or tied after the top half in each of the five innings of play but CSU-Pueblo responded in four of those five innings. But, in the sixth inning the Mavericks got two outs coupled with an error then allowed seven runs to score all with two outs in the inning and CSU-Pueblo took a commanding 14-6 lead.
