ALAMOSA, Colo. – Led by Madison Rasimas and Sydney Hathaway, the Colorado Mesa Mavericks women's soccer team (8-5-1, 5-4-1) defeated the Adams State Grizzlies 2-0 Friday afternoon on the ASU Soccer Field. The Mavericks recorded both goals in the first half to secure the win.
For the first time this season, Emily Signorio started at goalkeeper and recorded four saves while allowing zero goals.
Madison Rasimas was the first to strike during the 14th minute of the match to record her third goal of the game. Lexi Newton was awarded the assist. Later in the first half Sydney Hathaway scored the Mavericks' second goal in the 30th minute of the match.
As a team the Mavericks recorded nine shots throughout this match and put each one on frame. The Mavericks took all of their shots on goal for the first time since 2015 when they played against Angelo State.
Corri Zaiger the Grizzlies goalkeeper recorded seven saves.
