GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa Mavericks women's soccer team (7-5-1, 4-4-1 RMAC) lost to CSU-Pueblo 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Walker Field. The Mavericks took 19 shots but could not find the back of the net as the Thunderwolves improved to 6-6-1 and 5-3-1 in RMAC play.
The Thunderwolves scored in the 19th minute of the game and kept their lead the remainder of the match. The Mavericks took 15 shots in the second half to try an even the score but were shutout by Rylie Martin who recorded seven saves this game.
Alexis Allard led the team with five shots and put three on frame. Ryanne Parker and Taylor Jones each took three shots and combined for three shots on goal. Later in the second half Jocelyn Ceccarelli was moved up to the forward position and recorded two shots, a season high for the senior defender from Huntington Beach, Calif.
The Thunderwovles took eight shots and recorded two shots on goal. Kamrie Gunderson made one save in today's game.

The Mavericks will travel to Adams State and Fort Lewis next weekend for their last road games of the RMAC regular season. On Friday October 25 the Mavericks will take on Adams State at noon and on Sunday October 27 they will kickoff against Fort Lewis at noon.
