Recap

The Mavericks attempted six shots in the first half but none resulted in a goal, it would not be until the second half that the Mavericks would score. In an exciting attempt in the twenty-first minute Lawan Abary outjumped every defender to head the ball into the net but the Roadrunners would find some luck by his ball hitting the bar.

During the thirty-first minute Ethan Anderson would make an incredible defensive play heading the ball away from the net after MSU's Bryan Amouyal header attempt. This shot would have resulted in a goal had Anderson not made the defensive play of the game. No other shots were attempted before half time.

During the second half, the Mavericks attempted two shots before netting the first and only goal of the game. Peter Vandam ran to the sideline for a throw-in while the Mavericks set up around the goal. Del Mazo was able to find the pass through a scramble of players in the sixty-ninth minute and put one past the Roadrunner's goal keeper James Tanner. Del Mazo was greeted by teammates in celebration shortly after. Del Mazo has recorded either an assist or a goal in each of the Mavericks games this season besides one game against CSU-Pueblo. He as ten points on the season.

For the last thirty minutes of the game the Mavericks were able to outlast the Roadrunners two shot attempts and record their second win of the weekend. The Mavericks completed the weekend sweep in dominating fashion. First rolling past CSU-Pueblo 6-0 and then defeating the Roadrunners 1-0.
