DENVER, COLO- In the Mavericks first RMAC road test of the season they fall to the Roadrunners 2-0. The Mavericks are now 1-2-0 in conference play. MSU-Denver improved to a 3-0-0 record and remains as one of the top teams in the RMAC.

Despite the loss the Mavericks outshot the Roadrunners 10-9. Metro State recorded four saves compared to the Maverick's two. Kamrie Gunderson was named starting goalkeeper for the Mavericks and remained in the box the entire 90 minutes.
Ryanne Parker attempted multiple times to record a goal but came up scoreless. She led the Mavericks with three shots and two shots on goal.
The Mavericks defense held the Roadrunners scoreless in the first half against three shot attempts. The Roadrunners would prove their national ranking in the second half by netting two goals. Gabriella Gambo and Paloma Tera recorded a goal each during the second half.
The Mavericks defense were able to hold the Roadrunner's Regina Banks scoreless. Banks is currently one of the nation's top scorers for Division II.
In the second half CMU attempted four shots but none would find the net.
