GOLDEN, Colo. – The No. 7 Colorado Mesa baseball team dropped their second straight game to the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers on Monday, falling 12-6 at Darden Field to conclude the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference pod weekend.
The Mavericks took a 6-5 lead into the bottom of the seventh inning but the Orediggers scored seven unanswered runs to take the 12-6 lead.
Zach McLeod continued to carry a hot bat in the series, finishing the final game 4-for-5 with a run scored and two doubles. With his second hit, McLeod eclipsed the 200 hit milestone in his Colorado Mesa career. The senior now has 36 hits this season and has raised his average to .364 on the season.

Jordan Stubbings went 2-for-5 with a double and three runs driven in.
Lefty
Chris Ramirez took the loss on the mound for the Mavericks. Ramirez (2-2) allowed eight runs on eight hits, walked four and struck out five in 6.1 innings pitched.
Colorado Mesa falls to 23-10 on the season and 14-6 in the conference while Mines moves to 21-8 on the year and 14-5 in the RMAC.
The Mavericks will return to the friendly confinds of Suplizio Field this coming weekend for the first time in a month. They will take on Regis in a four-game series beginning on Friday at 6:05pm.
