Colorado Mesa University will play their first of two games this week on Tuesday night against Western State University (WSU) followed by Westminster University (WU) on Saturday. Both teams the will be the second game against the opponents this season. CMU was able to defeat the Mountaineers in their first meeting thanks to a last second layup by
Michael Skinner. However, Dayon Goodman and the Griffins were able to come into Brownson Arena to end the Mavericks five game win streak.
WSU currently sits one game ahead of the Mavericks in the RMAC standings. They are 9-12 overall, but 7-8 in the conference. They have four starters averaging double digit points, led by Ben Beauchamp with 17.0.
WU is currently the second best team in the conference, with a 12-3 RMACÂ record, and a 16-3 overall record. However, they are coming off a loss to UCCS over the weekend. They are led by Goodman who is averaging 27.2 points per game.
Both games are set for 7:30 p.m. tip offs.
