A late goal by Regis University was enough to defeat the Mavericks on Friday night. Following a second yellow card given to
Halie Bergeron, making the Mavericks down a player, the Rangers were able to strike in the 85th minute to get the 1-0 victory.
Colorado Mesa University was out shot 11-4 in the game, including 2-1 in shots on goal. It was a physical affair between the two teams with CMU finishing with nine fouls while the Rangers finished with 7.
Emily Signorio was in net for the Mavericks for the third consecutive game. She finished with one goal allowed and one save on the night.Â
The loss moves the Mavericks to 5-4-0 on the year and 2-2-0 in the conference. Their next test will be on Sunday against MSU Denver at Walker Field. Kick off is set for 2:30 p.m.
