GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. – The Colorado Mesa University women's lacrosse team defeated Rockhurst 18-5 on Senior Day Saturday (April 8).
CMU had 11 different players record a point in the win.
Olivia Hayden and
Jessica Cook each scored four goals and two assists to lead the Mavericks.
Amanda Geary also recorded a hat trick for CMU.
Mesa dominated in shots 31-13.
Draw controls were also in the Mavericks favor at 15-9, including 9-2 in the first half.
CMU led 15-11 in ground balls.
Jillian Pfeifer earned the win, her 10
th of the season, allowing two goals and making two saves. Kiersten Elder made four saves and allowed three goals playing the majority of the second half in relief.
Colorado Mesa (10-2, 5-1) will play at Regis April 15.
