Jessica Cook each recorded hat tricks for the Colorado Mesa University women's lacrosse team in a 16-12 loss at Regis Saturday (April 15).
Regis jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but Mesa tied it up with three of its own.
The Rangers scored four straight and closed the half with three straight goals to lead 13-8 at halftime.
CMU out-scored RU 4-3 in the second half.
Regis finished with a heavy advantage in shots 38-18. RU also led in ground balls (17-15) and draw controls (19-11).
CMU finished perfect on free position shots (3-3), while holding RU scoreless (0-9).
Jillian Pfeiffer made 17 saves and allowed 16 goals for CMU. 
Colorado Mesa (10-3, 5-2) will play at UCCS Saturday (April 15).
