DENVER, Colo. - The No. 11 Colorado Mesa baseball team swept a doubleheader from Regis on Friday afternoon at Regis Baseball Field. The sweep moves the Maverick's winning streak to 16 games and gives them a seven-game lead in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference standings.
In game one, Colorado Mesa pounded out 18 hits and scored six runs in the second inning for a 10-5 win in the day's opening game.
As a part of the six run second,

JJ Carr followed with a two-run bomb to left field. Another two batters later,
Bligh Madris drove in
Kyle Serrano from second base after he doubled down the left field line.
The Mavericks added two more in the fourth on an RBI double by

Haggerty finished the game with four hits, two runs scored and four runs driven in while
Kyle Serrano added three hits.
Chris Ramirez earned the decision but didn't have his best. Ramirez (5-1) went four and a third and allowed three runs on three hits, walked four and struck out four.
