Jessica Cook scored her 100
th career goal for Colorado Mesa University in a 19-7 loss to No. 2 Lindenwood in women's lacrosse Tuesday (March 14).
Cook scored a hat trick in the game and assisted on two other goals to finish with five points.
Lindsi Peters finished with three points (two goals, one assist), and
Mary Koch and Paige Elliot each scored one goal.
Sophie Buelow led the Lions with four goals and two assists for six points.
LU opened the game with four straight goals before CMU scored a pair of quick goals in the 22
nd minute.
The Lions closed the first half on an 8-2 run.
CMU scored the first two goals of the second half, but LU scored seven of the last eight goals of the game.
Lindenwood led in shots (45-13), ground balls (29-15) and draw controls (20-8).
Colorado Mesa (3-2, 1-1) will host Oklahoma Baptist Thursday (March 16).
