Jack Griffin lead the Mavericks on the day with two goals and two assists.
Reece Callies contributed two goals and an assist.

The Mavericks scored the first five goals of the game, all coming in the first quarter.
Steve Brandenburg inched his way closer to 100 career goals when he scored in the first. Brandenburg also added two assists on the day.

The Mavericks lead 5-3 after the first, but the Hawks responded in the second when they scored three straight to take the lead 7-6.

Callies scored his two goals right before halftime to retake the lead 8-7.

Luke Vanoverbeke completed his hat trick for the Hawks in the third quarter as he traded goals with Mavericks'

Brandon Wilson added another goal for the Mavericks to put them up 10-9 heading into the fourth quarter.

Chris Schevinger tied the game up at 10-10 with 14:30 remaining in the fourth quarter. Grant Vanoverbeke tallied his second goal of the day as he put the Hawks up 11-10 and sealed the victory for the Hawks.

Colorado Mesa outshot Rockhurst 37-24 and ended with six more shots on goal (20-14) than the Hawks.
