Colorado Mesa University's men's basketball team comes home this weekend for two RMAC games before their winter break. They face off against CSU-Pueblo (CSUP) on Friday and New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) on Saturday.
CMU comes into the weekend with a 6-4 overall record and a 2-2 conference record. That sits them at seventh place in the RMACÂ standings. The team has been led by
Emilio Acedo, who is averaging 18.1 points per game, which is fourth in the RMAC. This included a career high 28 points last Saturday in a 90-87 overtime win over Adams State University.
CSUPÂ comes into Grand Junction looking for their first conference win of the season. They have started the season 0-4 against RMACÂ opponents, including an 85-69 loss to Fort Lewis. They are led by senior guard Will Newman who is averaging 16.8 points per game.
NMHUÂ travels to Brownson Arena with a 6-4 overall record but only a 1-3 record against the RMAC. Their lone conference win came against CSUP. They are led by Jacob Holland, who is averaging 15.5 points per game.
Both games are set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. following the women's basketball games.
