Colorado Mesa University got struck hard and fast on Friday night against CSU-Pueblo. The Mavericks scored two goals in the first 10 minutes of action, and then again in the 28th minute to take the 3-0 lead into the half. The second half both teams were held scoreless, but the Mavericks came away with the 3-0 win.
Malik Mennana scored the first goal of the game in the first 1:27 of play. Mennana and 
Moshe Perez played give and go ball down the field until Mennana finished the break with his third goal of the season. Next up was a 
Matthew Miller goal off of a rebounded shot from Perez in the 9th minute. The final goal was Mennana's second of the night and fourth of the year when he scored from 30 yards out.
The Mavericks dominated from start to finish. CMU finished the game ahead in shots (22-7), shots on goal (7-3), corners (4-2) and they came out with less yellow cards (2-1).
Briley Guarneri got his ninth win of the season and his sixth clean sheet of the season. He finished with three saves on the night. 
CMU moved to 9-1-1 and 5-1-1 in the RMAC with the victory. The Mavericks will now go to Colorado Springs to take on the Mountain Lions on Sunday. Kick off is set for 2:30 p.m.
