Colorado Mesa University's men's soccer team clinched the number two seed in the RMAC over the weekend, one spot behind Colorado School of Mines. The Mavericks then went on to defeat Metro State University 5-0 on the road on Saturday.

Mose Perez scored his 12th and 13th goals of the season on Saturday to lead the Mavericks as part of his five point day. Perez wasn't the only Maverick to score twice as Malik Mennana scored his seventh and eighth goals of the season.

The Mavericks outshot the Roadrunners 7-0 in shots on goal on the day, despite having the same total amount of shots with nine.

Briley Guarneri got his 15th win of the season as well as his 10th shutout of the season.

With the win the Mavericks move to 15-2-1 on the season and 11-2-1 in the conference.
