GOING BACK TO LAST YEAR

OFFENSIVE OUTPUT

HOUSE CALLS
Senior kick returner
Virnel Moon is making house calls again. The El Cajon product took the opening kickoff of the second half back 99-yards for a touchdown, his second of the season. The senior is the first Maverick to return two kickoffs for touchdown in a season since defensive back Joe Krile did in 2003.
REGIONAL RANKINGS
The first NCAA Super Region Four Regional rankings were released this week. Colorado Mesa checked in at No. 7 in the poll. The top seven teams earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament with the No. 1 seed receiving a bye. Winona State from the Northern Sun is this week's top seed.
SENIORS
Colorado Mesa will be honoring 21 student-athletes prior to the game as they will be playing in their final regular season home game at Stocker Stadium.
NOT LOOKING TOO FAR AHEAD
The Mavericks will head out on the road for their final two regular season games. Next week, they will head to South Dakota to take on South Dakota Mines in Rapid City. It will be their first-ever trip to Rapid City for a contest.
