Women's soccer heads to the road to end losing streak

October 13 vs. Fort Lewis College:
Losing streak:

Last weekend the Mavericks fell in both of their conference matchups. The team has only lost both games in the week one other time this season, and that was week one when the team was in California. Following those two consecutive losses, CMU rattled off three wins in a row to get back above .500.
Six goals in two games:
The Skyhawks are coming off two wins over the weekend against Western State and Black Hills State. In those games the Skyhawks outscored their conference opponents 6-2.
Last Season:
The last time these two teams faced off was last season in Grand Junction. The Mavericks pulled off the win with two goals in the second half by Mackenzie King and Alexis Allard to win the game 2-1. CMU put up 10 shots in the contest.
All Time Record:
The all time series is close between the two opponents. CMU has a 14-17-5 overall record against the Skyhawks dating back to 1996.
Players to Watch:
Watch for Alexis Allard to get her team out in front early against the Skyhawks. Allard is the team leader in points with five on the year. As for the Skyhawks, Emma Patron is the name to keep an eye on. She leads her team in points with five and is second on the team with 879 minutes played.

October 15 vs. Adams State University:
Efficiency:
This season the Mavericks have had a higher accuracy with their shot attempts. Of their 143 shots this season, 78 have been on goal. That gives the Mavericks a 0.545 shots on goal percentage. In comparison, the Maverick opponents only have a 0.412 shots on goal percentage for the season.
Better on the road:
So far this season, the Grizzlies are a better team on the road than they are at home. They are winless in Alamosa, going 0-3-1, but have two wins on the road, going 2-3-1. This includes beating Black Hills State last weekend 5-0 in Spearfish, S.D.
Last Season:
In the 2016 matchup, the game was scoreless entering the 86th minute. Then the action picked up between ASU and CMU. The Grizzlies scored in the 86th minute to take the 1-0 lead and looked to be in shape to pull off the victory. However, in the 89th minute Allard was able to head in her third goal to send the game to overtime. In overtime, King was able to score on a free kick from 30 yards out in the 109th minute to pull off the Maverick comeback.
All Time Record:
CMU has fared well against the Grizzlies all time, compiling an 18-5-2 record.
Goalie watch:
Emily Signorio has started the last six games for the Mavericks. She is 3-3 over that stretch and has 26 saves. As for the Grizzlies, Teagan Moore has received eight of the teams ten starts. She has one win on the season and has collected 38 saves.
