RAPID CITY, S.D. – Colorado Mesa came from behind for a 63-60 win over the South Dakota Mines Hardrockers on Saturday evening at the King Center in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's basketball contest.
With the win, the Mavericks remain two games out of the eighth and final RMAC Tournament spot with a chance to makeup ground this coming week.
Colorado Mesa led for just over two minutes in the 40 minute game.
The Mavericks tied the game at 60-60 with 1:30 remaining in the game on a free-throw by
Kabir West.

Eimer Lopez gave the Mavericks their final lead of the game on a put back miss of his own layup with 43 second left in the game.
CJ Davis iced the game with a free-throw with just four seconds left in the game. Davis finished with a game-high 12 points, including 2-for-7 from the three-point line.
The two made three-pointers are significant as it gave Davis 156 made three-pointers in his career, a program record. He passes Jeremy Cummings who made 155 during his career that spanned from 2001-05.
Tanner Riley finished with 10 points to round out the Mavericks in double digits.
Colorado Mesa improved their record to 6-15 on the season, 5-10 in the RMAC while the Hardrockers fell to 10-12 on the year, 6-10 in the conference.
The Mavericks will host rival Western State on Tuesday at 7:30pm in Brownson Arena.
