GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. – The Colorado Mesa University women's swimming and diving team won 12 events and broke two school records in a 186-55 win over Western State Monday (Jan. 16).
Diving was a bright spot for the Mavericks.
Kelsey Vreeman won the one-meter with a school-record 468.07 points.
Brittany Dixon finished second (409.87), and Abby Smith was third (405.74). All three women posted NCAA qualifying scores.
Dixon took the win on the three-meter with a score of 278 and broke the six dive school-record.
Candice Rosen won two individual events for the Mavericks, the 200 individual medley (2:12.60) and the 100 free (54.43).
Mary Saiz was also a double winner for the Mavericks with victories in the 50 free (24.84) and 200 back (2:11.14).
Marissa Bradley won the 200 free in a time of 1:58.62, and
Eryn Leonard won the 200 fly in a time of 2:13.95.
Miranda Reetz won the 200 breaststroke (2:34.41), and Madeline McClaine won the 500 free (5:23.91).

The 200 freestyle relay of

Eryn Leonard won in a time of 1:40.20.
Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams at Colorado Mesa University will compete at the University of Denver Saturday (Jan. 21).
