LAST WEEKEND
Colorado Mesa snapped their eight match winning streak in a loss to Regis on Friday night in five sets. Mackenzie Edwards had a season-high 23 kills in the match and completed the double-double by adding 12 digs.
The Mavericks rebounded with a five set win over Chadron State on Saturday. They are now 11-0 in their last 11 matches with the Eagles.
Taylor Woods had 24 digs while
Kricket Adleman had four service aces in the win.
UPCOMING MATCHES
The Mavericks will head to the southwest corner of the state to take on Fort Lewis and Adams State. Fort Lewis has struggled this season and sit in a tie for seventh in the RMAC standings with a 2-2 conference mark. The Mavericks are on a three match winning streak against the Skyhawks.
Adams State is tied with Colorado Mesa in the RMAC standings at 3-1. CMU is 4-1 in their last five matches with the Grizzlies.
FIVE SET MATCHES
Through their first 10 matches of the season, Colorado Mesa didnt play in a five-set match. Last weekend, they played two of them and came away with a 1-1 record in those matches. Last season, CMU was 4-5 in five set matches.
