GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. – 
Amanda Wenzel got her second goal of the season to lead Colorado Mesa to a 1-0 victory against University of Colorado – Colorado Springs Friday (Sept. 23) in conference play.
CMU controlled play for much of the game outshooting UCCS 21-5 including 14-3 in the first half.
Amanda Wenzel chipped the ball over the Mountain Lions goalkeeper, in the 34
th minute, for the first and only goal of the game.

Katelyn Houston had two saves both in the final moments to preserve the shutout, her second of the season.
Grace Ramsden made seven saves for UCCS.
Colorado Mesa led 7-3 in corner kicks, including six in the first half.
Colorado Mesa 3-3-1 will host Western State Sunday (Sept. 25).
