AUSTIN, TEXAS - The #21 Colorado Mesa University men's soccer team fell 2-1 to #7 St. Edward's University Sunday (Sept. 11) at Lewis-Chen Family Field.

Grant Mobley gave St. Edward's a 1-0 nothing lead with a goal in the 22nd minute.

The Mavericks would find themselves down 2-0 when Josh Taylor fired a shot past Briley Guarneri in the 53rd minute. 

Roy Abergil scored the lone Maverick goal of the game in the 83rd minute off an assist from Kevin Del Mazo. 

Shots were tied at eight apiece with both goalies finishing with two saves. 

Colorado Mesa University (1-1-2) will head to Denver, Colo. next week to face off against MSU Denver.
