Scouting Eastern New Mexico
Eastern New Mexico looses two of their top three scorers from the 2015 season. Returning is the second leading scorer, Ryan McManus, with 15 of their 69 points. ENM finished their season with a loosing record of 6-8-2 in 2015.
Scouting Fort Lewis
Fort Lewis has a new head coach, David Oberholtzer, he is a former player at Fort Lewis during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. Fort Lewis has two of their top four scorers returning for the 2016 season Tamino Kroeger with 21 points and Martin Lopez with 19 of their 113 points last season. The Skyhawks finished with a winning record of 12-6-2 in 2015.
MESA PICKED SECOND IN PRESEASON POLL
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released its preseason coach's poll and all-RMAC teams for soccer on Monday (Aug. 15). Colorado Mesa was picked to finish second in the conference.

Colorado Mesa was picked second with 84 points just 15 points behind the first pick, Colorado Mines with 99 points. MSU Denver was picked third (80 points) also receiving a first place vote, UCCS fourth (72 points), and Fort Lewis toping off the top five (70 points). Complete Poll below.

Abergil is coming off a first-team All-RMAC and RMAC All-Tournament team performances from a year ago. The Israel native is the all-time leader for points (56) and goals (26) at Colorado Mesa. He netted 14 times to help total 28 points last campaign, both single-season records at Mesa.

Guarneri was selected to the RMAC All-Tournament team last season following 14 saves in two games. The Gilbert, Arizona native finished fifth in NCAA Div. II save percentage with an astounding .848%, while only allowing .761 goals against on average. He posted 11 clean sheets during the 2015 campaign, along with making 78 saves.

Perez was selected for the 2016 Preseason All-RMAC team. Last year he was RMAC All-Tournament. He started 19 of the 20 games he played in last season finishing with six goals and five assists.

LAST YEAR
In the Mavericks final game of the year they fell to No. 2 Midwestern State University. Â Midwestern scored three straight second half goals in a 4-2 win over the Mavericks in the NCAA Tournament. The Mavericks finished their 2015 season with a 14-5-2 record.
RETURNING
Returning we have four No. 1 rankings  in different catagories throuhtout the RMAC conference. Guarneri with the goals against (0.761) and save percentage (0.848). Abergil with the most goals per game (0.76) and total goals (14).
COACHING
Todd Padgett is in his third season coaching the Mavericks. He had an extremly successful first and second season, finishing 18-4-1 in the first season and 14-5-2 the second season. Padgett lead the Mavericks all the way to the NCAA National tournament the last two season. The Mavericks will have two assistants
Stan Schrock, and Jeremay Gwerder.
LOOKING AHEAD
Colorado Mesa will travel to Texas to play St. Mary's University and St. Edward's University, on September 9th and 10th. You can follow the Mavs at CMUmavericks.com. Last years first home game was against St. Mary's, the final score was 2-0. We faced St. Edwards for the first game of theseason last year, the final score 0-0.
