IRVINE, CALIF. – Concordia University (Calif.) swept all five matches over Colorado Mesa University in beach volleyball action Thursday (April 7).
Erin Perez and
Taylor Woods pushed the first set to extra points, but Rachel Flynn and Kaila Ames won the set 29-27. Concordia won the second set 21-18 for the win at No. 1 doubles.
CMU and CIU would go to extra points in the first set at both No. 2 and 3 doubles, but the Eagles won both matches in two sets.
Mackenzie Edwards and
Hattie Gianinetti won the first set 21-17 at No. 4 doubles, but Madeline Deters and Ellie Ladensack won the next two 21-17, 15-13 for the win.
Concordia won the fifth and final match 21-12, 21-8.
Colorado Mesa (1-11) will play at Loyola Marymount Friday (April 8). Â
