BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The Colorado Mesa University women's lacrosse team ran past Lindenwood-Belleville Friday (March 18) to win 19-1.
The Mavs started off the game strong against the Lynx leading in the first half 11-1.
The second half was dominated by the Mavs as they held the Lynx scoreless and put up eight more Mav goals.
Lexie Chavez,
Jessica Cook and
Kayla Lyall lead the Mavs with five points.
Jessica Cook led the Mavs in goals with five.
Amanda Geary and
Lydia Furrow had three points in the game, both with two goals and one assist.
CMU dominated shots 35-10 and groundballs 41-20.
Jillian Pfeifer earned the win making six saves and allowing one goal in 30 minutes of work.
Kady Herzog made one save in 30 minutes of relief work.
Colorado Mesa (4-2) will face Rockhurst Saturday (March 19).Â
