GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – 
Ma'ata Epenisa's lay in with 21 seconds left gave Colorado Mesa their final lead of the game in a 58-54 win over Fort Lewis on Friday evening in Brownson Arena in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women's basketball game.
 
After Epenisa's bucket, there were two monitor reviews to determine who had possession on a pair of tight plays. The second one gave Colorado Mesa the ball with 5.9 seconds left.

Erin Reichle lobbed a pass into 
Nicole Archambeau who layed it in with just three seconds left that gave Colorado Mesa the four-point cushion.
 
Epenisa finished the night with 12 points and seven rebounds while Archambeau had six points and 10 rebounds.
 
Fort Lewis controlled the game after the two teams played to an 18-18 first quarter. They led for nearly 25 minutes and had a 30-24 edge in rebounds with 11 coming on the offensive glass at halftime.
 
The Mavericks ended up outrebounding the Skyhawks in the game 48-47 after taking a 24-17 edge in the second half.
 
Colorado Mesa shot 31.3 percent (20-for-64) from the field and made five three-point baskets while the Skyhawks shot just a touch better at 31.7 percent (20-for-63).
 
Bryanna Adams led all scorers with 16 points and handed out six assists.
 
Fort Lewis' Kayla Herrera recorded a double-double posting 10 points and 10 rebounds.
 
Colorado Mesa improved to 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in the RMAC while Fort Lewis fell to 5-2, 1-3 in the conference.
 
The Mavericks will host Adams State tomorrow evening at 5:30pm in Brownson Arena.
