Box Score DENVER, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa volleyball team dropped its fifth match in a row when they lost to Regis in three sets on Tuesday evening in the quarterfinals of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Sophomore Mackenzie Edwards led the Maverick attack with 10 kills and added six digs. Edwards hit a team-high .250 helped on one block.
In the first set, the two teams fought back-and-forth with neither team grabbing a lead of greater than three points until late in the set. The Rangers scored the final six points of the set for a 25-18 win.
The Rangers claimed the second set 25-19.
In the third set, Regis had a side out percentage of 90 percent and hit .533 on their way to a 25-11 win over Colorado Mesa.
Sophomore
Taylor Woods finished with a team-high 12 digs.
The five match losing streak is the longest since 2012.
The Mavericks will now await the NCAA selection show on Sunday to find out if they have made the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season.
