GOLDEN, COLO. – The Colorado Mesa University swimming teams won 19 of 28 events against Colorado Mines and Northern Colorado Saturday (Nov. 12).
The women picked up wins over Colorado Mines (146-115) and Northern Colorado (145-116). The men defeated Colorado Mines 178.5-83.5.
Sam Bryant led the men's team with a trio of wins taking victories in the 1,650 (16:39.08), 500 (4:52.90) and the 400 individual medley (4:22.45).
Mary Saiz won three individual and one relay for the women. She pulled off the backstroke double winning the 100 (57.26) and 200 (2:04.25) and 50 free (24.30). She joined
Sam White, Erin Leonard and Marissa Bradley to win the 400 medley relay (3:58.00).
Bradley, White, Leonard and Madeline McClain won the 400 free relay (3:35.09).
Sam White won the women's 200 breaststroke (2:28.85).
The men's 400 free relay of Jerry Veneris, Noah Beaver, Josh Bedford and Sky Hirsch won in a time of 3:11.46.
Josh Bedford won the 100 (58.43) and 200 (2:13.48) breaststroke.
Eryn Leonard won the 100 fly (58.95), and Chris Radomski won the men's (51.57).
Eric Berg won the 100 backstroke (54.25), and Ethan McNally finished second (55.24). The two flipped in the 200 with McNally winning (1:59.13), and Berg finished second (2:02.39).
Jerry Veneris won the 200 free (1:46.42), and Sky Hirsch won the 50 (21.53).
The men's 400 medley relay of Eric Berg, Josh Bedford, Chris Radomski and Sky Hirsch won in a time of 3:29.93.
Colorado Mesa will host the CMU Invite Dec. 1-3.
