Colorado Mesa has won all four meetings against Black Hills since the Yellow Jackets joined the RMAC in 2012. CMU has out-scored BHSU 44-19.5 in the wins.
Turnovers
Colorado Mesa lis tied with five other schools for the national lead in turnovers lost with three. The Mavericks rank seventh in the nation and first in the league in turnover margin (+8). Mesa has lost one fumble this season, second fewest in the RMAC an sixth in Div. II.
Player of the Week
Defensive end
Blake Nelson was named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week. The Centennial, Colo., native finished with a team-high nine tackles including back-to-back tackles on the goal line to end the game.
Blake Nelson is the second CMU defensive player and the third player from CMU to earn RMAC Player of the Week honors this season. Nelson leads the RMAC and ranks 23rd in Div. II in sacks with 0.9 per game. He ranks second in the RMAC in tackles for loss (1.4) and eighth in total tackles (8.0).
Field Goals
Ryan Sheehan continues to lead Div. II in fiel goals per game (2.4). The Chandler, Ariz., native ranks 10th nationally and leads the RMAC in field goal percentage (.857). He leads the team in scoring with 54 points.
Red Zone
Saturday's game will feature the top red zone offense verse the top red zone defense in the RMAC. Colorado Mesa ranks 14th in the nation in red zone offense at 92-percent. Black Hills is holding its opponents to a league-low 67-percent in the red zone.
Interceptions
Colorado Mesa threw its first two interceptions of the season last weekend against CSU-Pueblo. CMU's two interceptions this season ranks 15th in NCAA Div. II for fewest interceptions thrown this season.
Dustin Rivas intercpeted his team-leading fourth pass of the season last week against CSU-Pueblo. He ranks second in the conference and fourth in the nation.
Quarterback Play

Sean Rubalcaba tanks in the top-five in the RMAC in nine different categories; first in passing yards per completion (14.4), second in passing yards (1,496), second in passing yards per game (299.2), second in yards per attempt (8.96), third in passing efficiency (150.9), third in total offense (323.8), fourth in completition percentage (.623), fourth in completitions per game (20.8) and fourth in passing touchdowns (eight).
