GUNNISON, COLO. – The Colorado Mesa University women's swimming team set seven pool records and earned on NCAA qualifier in a 191-97 dual meet win at Western State Saturday (Oct. 29).
Abi Smith won the one-meter diving event with an NCAA qualifying score of 406.17.
The Mavericks opened the meet with a pool record to win the 400 medley relay.
Mary Saiz, Sam White,
Eryn Leonard and
Marissa Bradley finished in a time of 4:00.16.
Mary Saiz swept the backstroke events, both in pool record times. She won the 100 back in 57.45 and the 200 back in 2:06.45. Saiz won the 50 free in a pool record time of 24.19.
Sam White completed the breaststroke double winning the 100 in 1:07.75 and the 200 in a pool-record time of 2:29.21.
Eryn Leonard set a new pool-record to win the 200 fly in a time of 2:15.52, and
Hanna Sangfelt won the 200 individual medley in a time of 2:18.45.
Marissa Bradley won the 100 free (54.23), and
Abi Young won the 500 free (5:31.04).

Colorado Mesa will compete at Wyoming on Nov. 5.
