LAS VEGAS, N.M. – The Colorado Mesa University football team set a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference record with 12 touchdowns in an 87-14 win at New Mexico Highlands Saturday (Oct. 29).
CMU scored 10 of its 12 touchdowns on the ground, also an RMAC record.
The previous record of nine rushing touchdowns was set twice with Mesa involved in both games. Colorado Mesa ran for nine touchdowns against Neb.-Kearney in 2005, and UNK returned the favor in 2008 when it ran for nine against Mesa.
