Sheehan kicked a 30-yard field goal and missed a 46-yard field goal, only his third miss of the season, last week against Dixie State.

David Tann caught a career-high seven passes for 130 yards and ran for 30 to finish with 160 all-purpose yards. He scored a career-high three touchdowns and currently ranks ninth in total touchdowns (12) and 11th in total points scored (72).
Scoring
Colorado Mesa joins Colorado Mines and Sioux Falls as the only schools in Div. II with two players ranked in the top-25 in scoring.
Back-to-Back Losses
Colorado Mesa is currently on a two-game losing streak, its first since 2014 when it lost three in a row. The last time CMU lost an RMAC home game was also in 2014.
Quarterback Situation
Back-up quarterback
Eystin Salum saw his most action of the season last week against Dixie State. The Denver, Colo., native completed 9-of-18 passes for 157 yards. He ran 12 times for a team-high 103 yards and scored two touchdowns, one running and one passing. Salum saw action at Black Hills State completing 6-of-11 passes for a team-high 111 yards and he rushed for a team-high 132 yards on 11 carries. He has played in all seven games for the Mavericks on special teams recorded seven tackles.

Defensive back
Dustin Rivas was named the RMAC Defensive Academic Player of the Year. The Thornton, Colo., native currently ranks eighth in Div. II in interceptions at 0.7 per game and eighth in the nation in blocked kicks with two. The Thornton, Colo., native has a 3.35 GPA in pre-business administration.
