Box ScoreGRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Colorado Mesa women's basketball team suffered a 70-59 loss to the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves Friday at Brownson Arena. The Mavericks dropped to 11-7 overall and 8-6 in the RMAC.

Colorado Mesa led 36-33 at half but trailed by as much as 10 points in the fourth. They cut the Thunderwolves lead to five after a three-pointer by
Jaylyn Duran, but the Mavericks would only score three more points to finish the game.

The Mavericks finished the game shooting 19-of-54 from the field and 8-of-16 from the free throw line. Colorado Mesa was also outscored 26-8 on points in the paint.

Colorado Mesa got into foul trouble with four of their players committing 3 or more fouls during the game, which led to the Thunderwolves shooting eight more free throws than the Mavericks.

Ashley Stevens led the Mavericks with 11 points, while
Sydney Small finished with 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting from the field and 3-of-3 at the three-point line.

Siu Lo'amanu also finished the game with 10 points while
Shyanne Halalilo chipped in eight points and a team-high six rebounds.

Tuileisu Anderson scored 17 points and had five rebounds for the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves.

The Mavericks will be back in action tomorrow night at 5:30pm when they take on the Western State Mountaineers in Brownson Arena.
