Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa women's soccer team went toe-to-toe with No. 9 Dallas Baptist in a 0-0 tie on Thursday night at Walker Field in a NCAA South Central Region matchup.

Janelle Richmond-Buccola earned her first shutout in net, but it wasn't easy. Richmond-Buccola made eight saves on the night but it may be the two saves she didn't make that have people talking.
Early in the second overtime, Dallas Baptist went on the attack, forcing Richmond-Buccola to make a game-saving play. But, the ball scooted to another Patriot player who took a pair of shots forcing the Maverick defense to make a pair of saves with an empty net.
Colorado Mesa outshot the Patriots in the match 23-11 with senior
Sarah Pope leading the way with seven shots, two coming on goal.
Ashley Wallace finished with three shots, all coming on goal.
Pope had a pair of opportunities to score late in the second half but both shots sailed just over the crossbar.
The Mavericks will be back in action on Saturday morning against Angelo State at 11am. The Rambelles are coming off a win over Fort Lewis 2-0 at Walker Field.
