PUEBLO, Colo. – The Colorado Mesa University softball team dropped a pair of RMAC games to CSU-Pueblo and Regis Monday (March 9).
CMU opened with a 3-1 loss to CSU-Pueblo.
Zoe Pakes tallied three of the Mavericks four hits in the game batting a perfect 3-3.
Joslynn Lopez gave up three runs, two earned, on four hits in 3.2 innings of work for CMU.
Brooke Hodgson did not give up a run in 2.1 innings of relief work.
The Mavericks followed up with a 9-2 loss to the Rangers.
Regis scored three runs in the first, two in the fourth and four in the sixth.
Mesa would score one run in the third on a sac fly and another run in the fourth on an RBI single by
Tawnee Woosley.
Brooke Hodgson took the loss in the circle for CMU allowing six runs, all earned, on eight hits in 5.2 innings.
Rochelle Talamantes threw 0.1 innings in relief giving up three runs on three hits.
CMU (12-11, 8-3) will host New Mexico Highlands in a four-game series March 14-15.Â
