WINGATE, N.C. – The Colorado Mesa University women's lacrosse team won its fourth straight game with a 16-6 victory at Wingate Wednesday (March 25).
Jenny Lange paced the Mavericks scoring four goals and adding one assist.
CMU had four players with three points.
The Maverick offense found its groove scoring 11 goals on 19 shots in the first half.
The CMU defense limited Wingate to three goals on 10 shots in the opening half.
Wingate outshot Mesa 13-11 in the second half, but Mesa finished with a 5-3 scoring advantage.
Jillian Pfeiffer earned the win for Mesa, and
Kady Herzog made eight saves starting the second half in goal for CMU.
CMU (6-3) will face Mount Olive Friday (March 27).Â
