Mavs Face UCCS in RMAC Quarterfinal

Colorado Mesa will play at UCCS Tuesday (March 3) in the quarterfinals of the RMAC Shootout. The winner of the game will advance to the semifinals and finals at the hightest remaining seed. 

RMAC History
Colorado Mesa has won seven regular season RMAC Titles but has never won the RMAC Tournament which started during the 1992-93 season. CMU's last regular season title came in 1998-99. 

700 Wins
Colorado Mesa currently has 699 wins in school history. The teams also has 19 wins this season, the most since the 2009-10 season when it won 23 games. 

High Scorer
Ryan Stephan ranks second in the nation in points per game (25.4), fifth in total field goals (227) and fifth in total points (661). The Lakewood, Colo., native is shooting 83-percent (168-209) from the field. He ranks 16th in free throws attempted (209) and 14th in free throws made (168). Stephan ranks seventh in career scoring with 1,284 points.

Derek Biale leads the RMAC and ranks 11th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.09. The Mavericks rank second as a team and 15th nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.45. CMU is averaging 17.0 assists per game, second best in the league and 20th in the nation. 

Home Losses
Colorado Mesa lost back-to-back games at home for the first time since March 1 and 2, 2013 when it fell to Fort Lewis and Adams. 

Better Field Goal Percentage
Saturday's loss to Fort Lewis was just the third this season for Colorado Mesa when it out-shoots its opponent. CMU is 17-3 when shooting better than its opponent. The Mavs are 12-1 this season when it shoots 50-percent or better.
