GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. –
Erin Reichle scored a career-high 34 points in a 78-60 win over the Chadron State Eagles on Saturday evening in Brownson Arena.
Reichle scored 24 of her 34 points in the second half as she shot 10-of-19 from the floor in the half. She finished the night 14-of-32 from the field and 6-of-14 from three-point range.
The Mavericks trailed by as many as 15 points in the first half but were able to cut the lead to three by halftime. Chadron State started the game on an 11-4 run.
Colorado Mesa outscored the Eagles 47-26 in the second half and shot 50 percent from the floor.
Laurin Rivera tied a career-high by handing out seven assists on the night.
Leanndra Gilbert finished the night with a double-double, 10 points and 12 rebounds. Nine of her 12 rebounds came in the second half.
Shanna Halalilo finished the night with 12 points and
Laurel Kasel finished with 12 points.
The Mavericks will head out on a three game road trip next weekend starting on Friday with a game against New Mexico Highlands.
