GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Erin Todd scored four goals to lead Regis to a 14-8 win over Colorado Mesa in women's lacrosse Saturday (Feb. 21).
Erin Todd put the Rangers on the scoreboard first with an unassisted goal at 23:54.
Shannon Lynch tied the game for the Mavericks with a goal three and a half minutes later.
Regis scored four of the next five goals to end the half with a 5-2 lead.
CMU out-shot RU 12-9 in the first, but RU finished with a 14-9 edge in the second.
After a Regis goal to start the half,
Jenny Lange and
Ashley Eickhoff scored for Mesa to close the score to 6-4.
Regis went on another scoring run rattling off eight of the next 10 goals.
Megan and
Shannon Lynch each tallied goals for CMU in the final two minutes.
Jenny Lange and
Shannon Lynch finished with a team-high two goals for CMU, and
Lydia Furrow added two assists.
Kady Herzog made four saves and allowed nine goals in the loss. Jillian Pfeiffer allowed five goals and made one save in relief duty.
CMU (1-1) will host Fort Lewis March 1
